Is there something strange in your neighourhood? If you live on the seafront, the answer may very well be yes!
But much more accurately, it’s definitely no. Apart from the usual suspects spending their nights in the subway and in the shelters, that is.
That didn’t stop this local paper from scouring a local forum for something to pass off as “news” however, and chancing across local snapper PaulB who took this photo of the new lights on the seafront.
Despite the fact that it’s a noisy image taken on a wet night with plenty of opportunity for reflections, the grainy “figure” that can be seen just to the right of the foremost camper van is almost certainly the ghost of a fisherman who died at the turn of the century, probably after an unfortunate rendezvous with a motorhome.
What are his motives? Revenge? Retribution? Reprisal? Vengeance? We may never know. Nor want to find out.
Or it could just be a reflection from the streetlight on the wet ground. But that wouldn’t be nearly as effective at generating clicks and that sweet, sweet advertising money.
